Hertfordshire and Essex Property Buying Agent

I have lived in both Hertfordshire and Essex in my lifetime and I can testify from my own experience that they are both wonderful locations to call home.

Steeped in history in equal measure, Essex is the proud home to the country’s oldest city in Colchester, famously the Roman capital of Britain and Chelmsford, formerly the capital of England. The aesthetically pleasing city of St. Albans in Hertfordshire boasts the impressive landmark of St Albans Cathedral where Alban, Britain’s first Saint, was buried over 1,700 years ago.

A major attraction to commuters has always been the exceptional rail links into London, offering a plethora of both mainline and underground stations across the counties, commute times range between 20 and 45 minutes into London Liverpool Street and Kings Cross. Should one prefer to commute via car, the M25 and M11 are easily accessible, whilst travelling abroad is incredibly convenient via London Stansted and Southend Airports. Residing slightly further afield, albeit still within touching distance are London’s Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.

“Unearthing the perfect property in this exquisite part of the country can be quite challenging, but this is where our expertise comes into its own”

High quality schooling is something that is not in short supply, with some of best private, comprehensive and grammar, schools available in the country.

Should you enjoy eateries, there are a profusion of 22 Michelin star restaurants scattered across Hertfordshire & Essex, as well as countless exceptional public houses, independent restaurants, bars and cafes. Shopping centres are aplenty, with Lakeside in Thurrock, Essex and Inti in Watford, Hertfordshire providing particularly popular destinations for shoppers.

For nature admirers, there are a number of breath-taking, all-encompassing woodland walks in both counties. Epping Forest Oak Trail, Hockley Woods and Hatfield Forest reside in Essex, whilst Hertfordshire boasts Mardley Heath, Heartwood Forest and Broxbourne National Nature Reserve.

Essex boasts one of the longest coastlines in the country, with 350 miles of sumptuous, undulating scenery to enjoy and incorporates eighteen glorious beaches, including some of most popular hotspots in the country in Clacton, Frinton, Mersea, Harwich and of course Southend which boasts the longest pier in the world. Consequently, there are an abundance of sailing clubs available, offering a veritable paradise for sailing enthusiasts.
