There are fascinating reminders of our past dotted all around the Borough of Bedford, tucked away on country lanes…
Read moreKerry has lived and worked in Cambridge all her life. Following over 10 years’ experience in property sales, she decided to put her skills and local knowledge to good use supporting a wide range of buyers find their perfect property – whether they are looking for a new family home, holiday home on the coast or downsizing.
As a mum to two sets of twins – she not only understands the need to be organised but has built up a wealth of knowledge about the best places to live for a great family life as well as the best private and state schools across Cambridge and East Anglia.
Since becoming a buying agent in 2020 Kerry has thrived on the opportunity to work more closely with her clients, to get to know their needs as if they were her own and ensure the whole buying process is as smooth and stress-free as possible
After a career working at Cambridge University and several major local companies, Kerry moved into the local property industry in 2013. Since then she has gained experience in estate agency, new build developments, executive relocation and now in property finding. As a result Kerry has built up a network of local contacts which are invaluable to her clients – either helping to identify those elusive off-market properties or supporting clients through the buying process.
Since becoming a buying agent Kerry has worked with a variety of clients moving within the UK or from overseas. She particularly understands the challenges of buying or moving from outside the UK and can also assist with interim rental searches and virtual viewings as required. She is also particularly well placed to support family and executive moves into the Cambridge area.
Kerry is an active resident in the Cambridge Community and wider county. She is a registered member of The Property Ombudsman, Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection and HMRC for Anti Money-Laundering supervision.
Whatever your needs, finding a property in such a beautiful part of the country can be a quite a task, with gorgeous properties and stunning locations everywhere you look!
However, having lived in East Anglia all my life and now bringing up my own family here, I take great pride in using my local knowledge and contacts to help clients find the best location and property for them and to steer them through the buying process.
As well as helping find the perfect property I know how important it is to make sure the other aspects of quality of life are considered. It is the whole picture that ultimately makes a move successful and every move is unique,
My home city of Cambridge itself has long been a magnet for academic and cultural activities and is a growing hub for the UK science sector. Cambridge and its surrounding rural villages are rich with period properties and offer a blend of good state and private schooling, friendly active communities and easy access to London by car and by train in around an hour.
If you are moving into the area with your family, a successful move might mean helping you find the right school for you children – perhaps even before you start to look for a house. With over 160 private schools across East Anglia (11 in Cambridge alone) the choice can often be daunting. Some popular choices are The Leys, The Perse, and Kings School at Ely but all have different strengths and requirements. Add in the excellent choice in the state sector and it can be overwhelming if you don’t have someone with local knowledge to help you know where to start.
Or, if you are retiring to the Norfolk or Suffolk coasts it might be more about the best beaches for dog walking (just ask my Dachshund, Dolly, she particularly loves the sands at Brancaster) or access to the best towns with active local communities, and the best places to eat rather than simply tourist hotspots. In which case, towns I would particularly recommend would be Aylsham, Beccles or Saxmundham.
If you are looking for farmsteads or properties with more acreage, inland Norfolk and north Suffolk can be a great hunting ground with properties often at very reasonable prices yet still within easy reach of Norwich or many other market towns.
In south Suffolk I consider Bury St Edmunds to be the standout town, blending facilities beyond its size with medieval streets and timbered buildings, whilst Stansted is close enough to offer a quick and easy air hub for European travel.
