West Midlands Villages

Further southwest of the region the haven of Alvechurch with its picturesque Marina, and its more glamorous neighbour, Barnt Green, have everything a commuter needs from good road and rail links to outstanding schools, shops and gourmet pubs. Beautiful villages such as Belbroughton and Clent also offer easy access to larger nearby towns while providing a rural environment to reside in.

Situated to the north west of the county, Tettenhall is one of only a handful of places in England to have two village greens. Retaining its rural village character, the Upper Green has a small shopping area overlooking the green and paddling pool, with an eclectic mix of independent shops and restaurants. You will also find Wolverhampton Cricket Club, notable for being played at by W. G. Grace. The Lower Green near the two village churches has a sloping grassy area ideal for sledging in the winter, now overlooked by luxury apartments.
