Lake District Property Finder

Helping you find property in The Lake District

The Lake District, and Cumbria generally, is an area that remains consistently popular with our clients here at Buying Agent Partnership. Those looking for property in the Lake District or elsewhere in Cumbria are well aware that this area is highly sought after and at first glance, you can see why; its breathtaking natural beauty.

Our Lake District property finder and buying agent always goes the extra mile to help you find the perfect Lake District home.  Depending on your requirements, we can help you to find a suitable property whether it is for your own home, holiday home or investment.  Along with our extensive range of settling-in services we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to begin your new life in Cumbria.

Location in high demand

Well located property is always in demand in Cumbria and prices can be high – particularly within the boundary of the Lake District National Park and around the main tourist centres of Ambleside, Bowness, Coniston and Grasmere and Keswick.  Unless you are specifically looking to take advantage of proximity to the premier Lake District attractions – or indeed looking for a lakeside location – better value and fewer crowds can often be found on the fringes or outside the National Park itself.

Lake District schools

For families, the slightly larger towns of Kendal, Keswick or Kirkby Lonsdale provide a wider range of services as well as some excellent schools. There are many excellent state schools to choose from such as Queen Elizabeth School as well as renowned independent schools such as Windermere School and Sedbergh School

If required, our Lake District property finder can help you with school selection, arrange school visits and guide you through the admissions process.

Diverse Economy

Well known across the world for its impressive mountain scenery and outdoor lifestyle attractions, Cumbria also has a diverse economy. As well as the obvious tourism and agriculture-related businesses, the county is also home to expanding energy, pharmaceutical and defence sectors. This winning combination means that it provides great scope for an attractive work-life balance or a complete change of lifestyle and escape from the rat race.

Great transportation links

Whilst offering some of the most scenic parts of the country, Cumbria still retains excellent transport links; being served by the M6, motorways and the West Coast Mainline train service from London to Scotland. Train travel from London to the heart of the Lake District takes a little over 2.5 hours and from Manchester under 1.5 hours, making the area ideal for a holiday home or rural lifestyle business.
