A prime target area with all the advantages of the countryside yet remaining accessible to London and other major cities

My Area – Cotswolds & Herefordshire

With a property search area covering some of the most picturesque parts of the country, experienced home finder and relocation professional, Stephen Wolfenden, is on hand to act as your buying agent in The Cotswolds and the surrounding counties and take the hassle out of looking for your next home.

The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is one of Britain’s most desirable and historic destinations, with the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) within its boundaries. The Cotswolds can offer highly desirable market towns and small village locations, breathtaking countryside and excellent education facilities. Gloucester, with its exciting Gloucester Quays area, and Cheltenham – Promenade, Montpellier and High Street – offer a wide range of shopping opportunities, as does Cirencester, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh with markets and independent shops. The artistic town of Stroud nestling in the Golden Valley with Painswick nearby, one of the most picturesque villages in the area with the oldest yew trees in England in its churchyard. Polo at Cirencester and Beaufort parks, eventing at Badminton and Gatcombe, and racing at Cheltenham make this an ideal area for equestrian pursuits.

Immediately adjacent, and within the county boundaries of Gloucestershire, lies the Forest of Dean, a deeply rural area of small hamlets, villages and market towns on the western edge of the Severn Estuary.

Herefordshire

The cathedral city of Hereford and the surrounding county is one of England’s most quintessentially rural areas, mainly made up of dairy farming, fruit farming and great estates, offers some of the most striking scenery to be found in England. Herefordshire is tranquillity – away from the hustle and bustle of city life, amidst rolling English scenery where hop farms and apple orchards abound. The county is full of attractions and beauty spots, and with a direct rail link from Hereford to London, offers an ideal lifestyle for those seeking a quieter existence. Not that there’s nothing to do – quite the opposite, as Herefordshire is host to arts festivals and Hay-on-Wye has the largest number of bookshops and book fairs of any town in England.

Worcestershire

Within easy travelling distance out of Birmingham, Britain’s second city, Worcestershire can offer a wonderful combination of the charm of the countryside steeped in civil war history coupled with the convenience of the city. With the city of Worcester at its heart and with smaller market towns and villages in abundance, Worcestershire is a wonderfully civilised place to live – far from the hum-drum of the city yet close enough to enjoy all the facilities of a major urban centre.

North Wiltshire

This area, renowned for its iconic white horses carved into the rolling chalk downs, centres on the commercial and industrial town of Swindon and contains a plethora of wonderful towns and villages and luxury hotels such as Whatley Manor near Malmesbury are examples of the hospitality on offer here.  North Wiltshire also enjoys close proximity to the major centres of Bath, and Bristol where there is an international airport, and excellent communications via rail and road (M4) to London.

Start your property search the right way – use Stephen as your buying agent in The Cotswolds and the surrounding counties and ensure your next house move is straightforward and professionally managed rather than fraught with worries!

Mr and Mrs S - Countryside Retreat

The clients contacted Buying Agent Partnership to help them find their perfect home in the Cotswolds. They had a budget of £1.5m and a few essential criteria for the property. Each room would ideally contain an inglenook fireplace and the property would be ideally located in close proximity of a nice pub!

A beautiful Cotswolds village is shown, with traditional cottages shown over a bridge surrounded by trees.

From the Capital to the Cotswolds

The original scope was for a country retreat as the clients had an apartment in London and her dressage horses were in livery. Timescale was not overly important in this case, so many houses were viewed, with none quite having that ‘wow’ factor they were looking for! That's where Buying Agent Partnership came in...
